Paradip Port further extends EoI for western dock project

March 18: Paradip Port has extended the submission date for expressions of interest (EoI) on a global basis till May 16, 2015 instead of March 16, according to the port’s website, for developing its western dock on captive basis.

With this, the port extended the submission date for the fourth time due to lack of interested parties. Before March 16, the last date of submission was December 16, 2014. It was extended once till January 16, 2015 a port official said.

According to an official statement, the project for developing the western dock constitutes six berths with a length of 930 metres with optimum space for parking cape-size vessels on each berth. Vessels up to 1, 85,000 DWT are envisaged to be handled at the dock.
