Paradip gypsum imports drop 31% in January m-o-m

February 11: Gypsum imports through the Port of Paradip rose 30.83% to 93,765 tons in January 2015 against 71,671 tons in December 2014, as per provisional data available with ICMW.
Gypsum imports in January 2014 stood at 11,859 tons.
In the first 10 months of the current financial year (2014-15), gypsum imports through the port stood at 795,742 tons against 211,090 tons imported during the same period of 2013-14.

In January, all the consignments arrived from Oman in a price band of Rs 1,292 – Rs 1,404 ($21-22) per ton.
In December, all the consignments arrived from Oman in a price band of Rs 1,354 – Rs 1,382 ($22) per ton.
