Peabody offers coking coal at $140 per ton: trader

October 29: Peabody has offered to sell its metropolitan brand coking coal at a price of $140 per ton FOB, a trader said.

"The availability of the material is an issue at present and, thus, on a comparative basis, material that is not so good is being offered at high rates by miners," the trader said.

Prices of coking coal are likely to remain firm up in the coming days, the trader added.
