Pet coke export volumes via Chennai dwindle

August 26: Pet coke exports through the port of Chennai in July 2014 comprised a mere 9 tons against 5 tons in June while the same for May was at 2 tons, as per provisional data available with ICMW.

In July, 7 tons were sent to Oman in a price range of Rs 32,774 – Rs 33,106 while 2 tons went to Sudan at a unit price of Rs 67,725.

In June, the material was exported to Oman at Rs 33,100-Rs 33,132 per ton while in May the same was exported to Oman in a price band of Rs 33,085-Rs 33,549 per ton.

In April, a single ton of pet coke was exported to Oman at a rate of Rs 32,941 per ton. In March, 2 tons went to Kenya at a unit price of Rs 25,533.
