Pet coke exports via Vizag drop 13% in Feb m-o-m

A volume of 20,000 tons of pet coke was exported through Vizag Port in February 2016 against a volume of 23,000 tons in January 2016, showing a drop of 13.04% month-on-month, as per provisional information available with ICMW.
Volumes in December had been at 25,000 tons, in November at 15,126 tons while there had been no exports of the material in October.
Exports of pet coke have been erratic in general. A quantum of 25,000 tons had been exported through the port in September, though there had been no exports of the material in the previous month.
In February 2016, 11,000 tons went to Mozambique at a unit price of Rs 18,858 per ton while 9,000 tons went to South Africa, also at unit price of Rs 18, 858 per ton.
In January 2016, the entire volume went to Bahrain at a unit price of Rs 19,532 per ton while in December, the entire volume went to Saudi Arabia at a unit price of Rs 18,536 per ton.
