Imports of pet coke via Gangavaram Port were down 40.29% to 574,124 tons in fiscal 2015-16 against 961,513 tons in 2014-15, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
On the other hand, imports of the material via the port rose 122.73% month-on-month to 90,311 tons in March 2016 against 40,547 tons seen in February 2016.

In March 2016, a volume of 10,300 tons came in from China at a price of Rs 15,531 ($225) per ton and 80,011 tons from the US at a price range of Rs 2,855-Rs 3,345 ($42-$49) per ton.
In February 2016, a volume of 15,556 tons came in from China at a price of Rs 15,531 ($225) per ton and 124,991 tons from the US at a price range of Rs 3,237-Rs 4,393 ($47-$64) per ton.
