Pet coke imports via Gangavaram fall 35.27% in Sept m-o-m

October 13: Pet coke imports via Gangavaram Port stood at 87,605 tons during the month of September 2014, sharply down by 35.27% from 135,342 tons recorded in August, according to provisional data available with ICMW.

During September 2014, 28,600 tons came in from China at a price range of Rs 18,204-Rs 18,227 ($295-$298) per ton whereas the balance 59,005 tons came in from the US at a price range of Rs 5,843-Rs 5,915 ($95-$102) per ton.

However, in August 2014, 13,750 tons came from China at a price of Rs 18,852 ($308) per ton, 51,251 tons came in from Saudi Arabia at a price of Rs 6,121 ($101) per ton while the balance 70,341 tons arrived from the US at Rs 6,308 ($104) per ton.
