Pet coke imports via Gangavaram fall 77.65% in July

August 14: Pet coke imports via Gangavaram Port stood at 48,344 tons during the month of July 2014, sharply down by almost 77.65% from 216,272 tons recorded in June, according to provisional data available with ICMW.

During July 2014, 27,500 tons came in from China at a price range of Rs 18,731-Rs 18,734 ($309-$312) per ton whereas the balance 20,844 tons came in from the US at a price of Rs 6,821 ($114) per ton.

However, in June 2014, 70,742 tons came from Canada at a price of Rs 6,177 ($103) per ton, 27,500 tons from China at a price range of Rs 18,852-Rs 18,855 ($315) per ton while the balance 118,030 tons came in from the US at a price range of Rs 6,593-Rs 6,841 ($109-$114) per ton.
