Pet coke imports via Gangavaram up 90.21% in June

July 3: Pet coke imports via Gangavaram Port stood at 216,272 tons during the month of June 2014, sharply up by almost 90.21% from 113,703 tons recorded in May, according to provisional data available with ICMW.

In June 2014, 70,742 tons came from Canada at a price of Rs 6,177 ($103) per ton, 27,500 tons came from China at a price range of Rs 18,852-Rs 18,855 ($315) per ton while the rest of 118,030 tons came in from USA at a price range of Rs 6,593-Rs 6,841 ($109-$114) per ton.

However, during May 2014, the material came in from USA at a price range of Rs 6,432-Rs 6,770 ($106-$111) per ton.
