Pet coke imports via Kandla up 17.22% in Aug m-o-m

September 11: Imports of pet coke via Kandla Port rose 17.22% to 29,890 tons during the month of August 2014 while in the previous month, import of the material through the port stood at 25,500 tons, according to provisional data available with ICMW.

In August 2014, 12,000 tons came from Saudi Arabia at a price range of Rs 5,979-Rs 6,175 ($98-$101) per ton while the balance 17,890 tons came in from Unites States at a price of Rs 6,245 ($101-$103) per ton.

However, during July, the entire material came in from the US at a price range of Rs 6,245-Rs 6,622 ($103-$109) per ton.
