December 10: Imports of pet coke through Karaikal Port increased by 51.87% month-on-month to 113,989 tons in November 2015 as compared to 75,078 tons in the preceding month of October, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
With the imports in November, total pet coke imports through the port during the first eight months (April-November) of 2015-16 stood at 813,155 while imports of the material via Karaikal in the same period of the previous fiscal were not available.

In November 2015, a volume of 52,190 mt came from Saudi Arabia at Rs 3,578 ($54) per ton while details of the remaining 67,799 tons were not available.
In October, around 56,300 tons came from Saudi Arabia at an assessed price of Rs 4,590 ($68) per ton and the remaining 18,778 tons from the United States at Rs 4,590 ($68) per ton.
