Pet coke imports via Kolkata Port drop 31.33% in July

August 4: Pet coke imports via Kolkata Port dropped a considerable 31.33% to 10,568 tons in July 2014 against 15,391 tons in June 2014, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
Imports of the material in July 2013 were at a mere 1,136 tons.
Imports of the material for the first four months of the current fiscal were at 52,309 tons against 9,707 tons reported for the same period in the previous fiscal.
Total pet coke imports via Kolkata Port for the entire financial year of 2013-14 stood at 50,149 tons.

In July, imports comprised consignments from China in a range of Rs 10,266 – Rs 50,578 ($171-833) per ton.
In June, all the consignments arrived from China in a range of Rs 13,094 – Rs 49,870 ($219-825) per ton.
