June 6: Pet coke imports via Kolkata Port dropped manifold to 1,000 tons in May 2014 against 25,350 tons in April, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
There were no imports of the material in May 2013.
Imports for the first two months of the current fiscal are at 26,350 tons.
Total pet coke imports via Kolkata Port for the entire financial year of 2013-14 stood at 50,149 tons.

In May, a single consignment arrived from Indonesia at a unit price of Rs 12,915 ($212) while, in April, 15,356 tons arrived from China at a unit price of Rs 12,292 ($202) while the balance 9,994 tons came in from Indonesia in a range of Rs 12,831 – Rs 15,484 (212-255) per ton.
