Pet coke imports via Kolkata down 59.46% in Sept m-o-m

October 24: Pet coke imports via Kolkata Port dropped 59.46% to 15,447 tons in September 2014 against 38,106 tons reported in August, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
Imports of the material in September 2013 were at 11,000 tons.
Imports of the material for the first six months of the current fiscal were at 105,862 tons against 20,898 tons reported for the same period in the previous fiscal.
Total pet coke imports via Kolkata Port for the entire financial year of 2013-14 stood at 50,149 tons.
Following is the break-up of month-wise import of pet coke via Kolkata Port in 2013-14 and 2014-15:

In September, all the consignments arrived from China in a price band of Rs 9,649 – Rs 51,037 ($156-833) per ton.
In August, 27,601 tons arrived from Kuwait at a unit price of Rs 13,549 ($223) while the balance 10,505 tons arrived from China in a range of Rs 18,886 – Rs 50,578 ($305-833) per ton.
