Pet coke imports via Kolkata plunge in Feb m-o-m

March 18: Pet coke imports via Kolkata Port plunged to 3,653 tons in February 2015 against a heftier 24,192 tons in January 2015, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
Imports of the material in February 2014 were also low, at mere 68 tons.
Imports of the material for the first 11 months of the current fiscal were at 152,033 tons against 40,149 tons reported for the same period in the previous fiscal.
Total pet coke imports via Kolkata Port for the entire financial year of 2013-14 stood at 50,149 tons.

In February 2015, 2,500 tons arrived from the US at a price of Rs 7,570 ($121) per ton and 1,153 tons from China in a band of Rs 10,011- Rs 51,721 ($161-824) per ton.
In January 2015, however, 14,500 tons arrived from the US in a price band of Rs 7,804 – Rs 10,601 ($122-166) per ton and 9,692 tons from China in a band of Rs 10,011- Rs 51,550 ($161-808) per ton.
