Pet coke imports via Kolkata plunge to 308 tons in Nov

December 12: Pet coke imports via Kolkata port drastically fell to 308 tons in November 2013 against 18,000 tons reported in October 2013, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
With this, total pet coke imports via Kolkata port in the first eight months of 2013-14 stood at 39,206 tons compared to 82,692 tons recorded during the corresponding period of the previous year.
Total pet coke imports in the entire financial year of 2012-13 stood at 105,248 tons.
In November 2012, imports of the material stood at 37,387 tons.

In November, all the consignments arrived from China in a price band of Rs 54,450-Rs 55,773 ($860-$881) per ton.
In October 2013, the entire consignment arrived from Kuwait at a unit price of Rs 12,825 ($206).
