Pet coke imports via Kolkata rise 63.63% in Oct m-o-m

November 11: Pet coke imports via Kolkata port increased by 63.63% to 18,000 tons in October 2013 against 11,000 tons registered in September 2013, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
With this, total pet coke imports via Kolkata port in the first seven months of 2013-14 stood at 38,898 tons compared to 45,305 tons recorded during the corresponding period of the previous year.
Total pet coke imports in the entire financial year of 2012-13 stood at 105,248 tons.
Following is the break-up of month-wise import of pet coke via Kolkata port in 2012-13 and 2013-14:

In October 2013, the entire consignment arrived from Kuwait at a unit price of Rs 12,825 ($206).
In September 2013, however, the entire amount was imported from China at a price range of Rs 11,413-Rs 11,985($179-$190).
