October 28: After a sharp decline in August 2013, pet coke import via Kolkata Port trust increased sharply to 11,000 ton in September 2013 compared to 191 tons in August 2013, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
With this, the total pet coke import via Kolkata port in the first half (April-September) of 2013-14 stood at 20,898 tons compared to 44,711 tons recorded during the corresponding period previous year (April-September 2012-13).

In September 2013 too, the entire amount was imported from China at a price range of Rs 11,413-Rs 11,985($179-$190).
In August 2013 too, the entire quantity came in from China in a price band of Rs 41,806 -Rs 52,530 ($675-$804) per ton.
