December 9: Imports of petroleum coke via Krishnapatnam Port were up 28.26% month-on-month to 101,879 tons in November 2015 against a volume of 79,429 tons for the month of October, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
For first eight months (April-November) of the current fiscal (2015-16), pet coke imports through Krishnapatnam Port stood at 913,156 tons while imports of the commodity through the port in the same period of the previous fiscal (2014-15) were at 207,951 tons.

In November, a volume of 18,000 tons came from Saudi Arabia at a price range of Rs 3,099-Rs 3,436 ($46-$52) per ton, 58,545 tons came from the US at a price range of Rs 3,960-Rs 6,780 ($59-$104) per ton while details of 25,334 tons were not available.
In October, the entire amount of 79,429 tons came from the United States at a price range of Rs 5,181-Rs 7,977 ($78-$122) per ton.
