Imports of petroleum coke via Krishnapatnam Port were up 5.52% month-on-month to 107,502 tons in December 2015 against a volume of 101,879 tons for the month of November, according to provisional data available with ICMW.
For first nine months (April-December) of the current fiscal (2015-16), pet coke imports through Krishnapatnam Port stood at 1,020,658 tons while imports of the commodity through the port in the same period of the previous fiscal (2014-15) were at 358,159 tons.

In December, a volume of 18,000 tons came from Saudi Arabia at a price range of Rs 3,352-Rs 3,462 ($50-$52) per ton, 5,000 tons came from South Africa at a price of Rs3,465 ($52) per ton, 28,250 tons came from the US at a price range of Rs 4,770-Rs 6,977 ($71-$104) per ton while details of 56,252 tons were not available.
In November, a volume of 18,000 tons came from Saudi Arabia at a price range of Rs 3,099-Rs 3,436 ($46-$52) per ton, 58,545 tons came from the US at a price range of Rs 3,960-Rs 6,780 ($59-$104) per ton while details of 25,334 tons were not available.
