Pet coke imports via New Mangalore sharply up in Nov

December 18: Pet coke imports through the port of New Mangalore stood at 66,822 tons in November 2013 against 10,000 tons in the previous month, as per information available with ICMW.

The import of pet coke through the port during first eight months (April-November) of FY’14 stood at 283,009 tons while the figure stood at nil during the corresponding period of the previous financial year.

Following is the monthly break-up of pet coke imports via New Mangalore:

In November, the entire quantity came from USA at a price of Rs 12,007 ($190) per ton while during October 2013, the entire quantity came from USA at a price range of Rs 6,753-Rs 12,271 ($108-$196) per ton.
