Pet coke imports via Paradip up 34.28% m-o-m in July

August 28: Imports of pet coke through the port of Paradip stood at 16,499 tons in July 2013 against 12,277 tons recorded in June, up 34.28%, as per provisional data available with ICMW.
With this, during the first four months of FY’14, total pet coke imported through the port stood at 49,372 tons against 16,498 tons in the corresponding period of the previous financial year.
Total pet coke imports in the entire financial year of 2012-13 stood at 156,144 tons.

In July 2013, the entire consignment arrived from Kuwait at Rs 13,416 ($227) per ton.
In June 2013, however, the material came in from Indonesia at a price of Rs 19,534 ($330) per ton.
