Pet coke imports via Vizag decrease 75.53% m-o-m in Dec

January 7: Pet coke imports through the port of Vizag showed a substantial decrease of 75.53% to 21,048 tons in December 2013 against 86,035 tons in November, according to provisional information available with ICMW.
With this, imports of PCI coal in the first nine months of 2013-14 stood at 764,624 tons against 508,131 tons recorded during the corresponding period of 2012-13.
Following is the monthly break-up of pet coke imports via Vizag port in 2012-13 & 2013-14:

In December, the consignment arrived from Indonesia at a unit price of Rs 14,469 ($262).
In November 2013, however, 59,286 tons arrived from China in a price band of Rs 11,213 – Rs 16,179 ($178-$256) per ton and 26,749 tons came in from the US at a unit price of Rs 11,015 ($175).
