Pet coke imports via Vizag increase 174% m-o-m in Jan

February 25: Pet coke imports through the port of Vizag showed a huge increase of 174% to 57,773 tons in January 2014 against 21,048 tons reported in December 2013, according to provisional information available with ICMW.
With this, imports of PCI coal in the first 10 months of 2013-14 stood at 822,397 tons against 548,057 tons recorded during the corresponding period of 2012-13.

In January 2014, 32,991 tons arrived from Kuwait at a unit price of Rs 13,549 ($218) while 24,782 tons came in from China in a range of Rs 15,160 – Rs 11,322 ($243-$182) per ton.
In December, the consignment arrived from Indonesia at a unit price of Rs 14,469 ($262).
