Pet coke imports via Vizag increase sharply m-o-m in May

June 11: Pet coke imports through the port of Vizag increased sharply to 71,331 tons in May 2014 as against 34,415 tons in April, according to provisional information available with ICMW.
In March, PCI import through Vizag Port stood at 105,377 tons.
In May 2013, PCI coal import through the port stood at 73,449 tons.
Following is the monthly break-up of pet coke imports via Vizag Port in 2013-14 & 2014-15:

Pet coke imports for May, 2014 comprised 50,385 tons from China at a price band of Rs 9,900- Rs 13,591($165-$226) and 20,946 tons from Indonesia at a unit price of Rs 11,866 ($197).
In April, pet coke imports included 33,496 tons from the US at a unit price of Rs 8,784 ($144), 163 tons from Ukraine at a unit price of Rs 19,475 ($315) and 756 tons from China at a unit price of Rs 25,258 ($415).
