Pipavav Port’s imported coal stocks up 4.8% m-o-m in May

May 19: Imported coal stocks at Gujarat’s Pipavav Port increased 4.8% to 0.148 million tons (mt) as on the first day of May, compared to 0.100 mt on the first day of April, according to data available with ICMW.
With this, imported coal stocks at seven major ports and one private port of India as on the first day of May, 2014, stand revised to 4.416 mt compared to a provisional compilation of 4.268 mt by ICMW.
Accordingly, India's imported coal stocks at eight ports dropped marginally from a level of 4.458 mt on April 1, 2014.
