February 24: Poor demand was witnessed in January 2014 for G10 grade (GCV 4,301 to 4,600 Kcal/kg) coal offered by MCL for allotment through the MSTC platform as only 15,250 tons got allotted out of an offered quantity of 115,000 tons at a weighted average price of Rs 2,412 per ton.
However, a very strong demand was witnessed in December 2013 for G10 grade coal offered by CCL and NCL for allotment through the MSTC platform as the entire offered quantity of 265,138 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 1,873 per ton.
On the other hand, there was poor demand in November 2013 for G10 grade coal offered by CCL for allotment through the same platform as only 5,180 tons were allotted out of the total offered quantity of 11,700 tons, at a weighted average price of Rs 1,485 per ton.
