Poor demand for G-10 grade coal in Oct e-auction

November 27: There was poor demand in October 2013 for G10 grade (GCV 4,301 to 4,600 Kcal/kg) coal offered by CCL and MCL for allotment through the MSTC platform as only 580 tons were allotted out of the total offered quantity of 152,000 tons at a weighted average price of Rs 1,485 per ton.
In September, however, there seemed to be very strong demand for this grade offered by CCL, and NCL, as the entire offered quantity of 120,340 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 1,933 per ton.
