Poor demand for G2 grade in December on coaljunction

There was poor demand G2 (GCV between 6,700 and 7,000 Kcal/kg) in December 2015 on coaljunction as out of the offered quantity of 51,000 tons by Eastern Coalfields Limited (ECL) and North Eastern Coalfields (NEC), a quantity of 4,160 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 4,873 per ton, according to data available with ICMW.
However, there were no offerings of G2 grades of coal on the e-auction platform of coaljunction by Coal India (CIL) subsidiaries in October and November, 2015.
