December 7: Poor demand was witnessed for G4 grade coal (GCV between 6,101 and 6,400 Kcal/kg) in the month of November 2015, as out of the entire quantity of 45,570 tons offered by South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL), Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) and Central Coalfields (CCL), only a volume of 1,950 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 3,790 per ton, according to data available with ICMW.
However, moderate demand was witnessed for G4 grade coal in October 2015 as out of the entire offered quantity of 134,650 tons by Eastern Coalfields (ECL) and Western Coalfields (WCL), 99,352 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 4,055 per ton.
In September, poor demand was witnessed for G4 grade as out of the entire offered quantity of 146,132 tons by SECL, BCCL, CCL and Western Coalfields (WCL), only 5,300 tons were allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 4,374 per ton.
