December 23: There was poor demand for G7 grade (GCV ranging from 5,201 to 5,500 Kcal/kg) coal offered by subsidiaries of CIL for allotment through the MSTC platform during November 2015 as the out of entire offered quantity of 312,410 tons, merely 31,342 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 2,280 per ton, as per data available with ICMW.
However, there was very strong demand for G7 grade offered by subsidiaries of CIL for allotment through MSTC in October 2015 as the entire offered quantity of 275,110 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 2,517 per ton.
Meanwhile, there was moderate demand for G7 grade offered by subsidiaries of CIL for allotment through MSTC during September 2015 as out of the offered quantity of 122,400 tons, 39,280 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 2,300 per ton.
