The power index remained range-bound on Monday.
It may be recalled that the index had remained lacklustre throughout the entire last week.
The S&P BSE Power index edged up 10.77 points (0.63%) to close at 1,726.83 on March 21 from the previous closing of 1,716.06. The highs and lows on March 21 were 1,729.44 and 1,715.72 respectively.
Global markets such as CAC, DAX and FTSE were trading up on Monday from the previous closes. The Sensex remained green on March 21.
The Sensex increased 332.63 points (1.33%) to close at 25,285.37.
On March 21, most of the stocks on the S&P BSE Power closed in the green. The maximum gain was registered by Adani Power, with the stock increasing 2.81% to close at Rs 31.15. The maximum loss was registered by Alstom T&D, with the stock, decreasing 1.83% to close at Rs 378.2.
