Not only on Wednesday, the power index has remained range-bound since Monday. It was a mixed performance from the power scrips on February 10.
The S&P BSE Power index decreased 11.41 points (0.67%) to close at 1,703.29 on February 10 from the previous closing of 1,714.70. The highs and lows on February 10 were 1,719.29 and 1,685.83 respectively.
Global markets such as CAC, DAX and FTSE as well as the Indian Sensex all closed in the red on Wednesday.
The Sensex decreased 266.44 points (1.14%) to close at 24,020.98.
Most of the power stocks closed in the red. The highest growth was registered by Reliance Infra which gained 3.94% to close at Rs 440.20. The maximum loss was registered by NHPC which lost by 9.57% to close at Rs 13.70.
