RINL floats global tender for imported coking coal

May 5: State-owned steel-maker RINL has floated a global tender to procure altogether 250,000 tons of imported coking coal for its Vizag Steel Plant.

The materials to be procured would include both hard coking coal (low ash) and soft coking coal (low ash) and must be according to four different technical specifications mentioned in the tender document.

According to the document, delivery shall commence as per the schedule required by RINL/VSP within 30 days or earlier from the date of signing of the agreement. The delivery period for the tendered quantity is three months from the date of signing of the agreement.

The last date for submission of bids is May 30, 2014.
