RPower’s 4th unit at Sasan UMPP starts operation

May 20: Reliance Power Limited, on May 20, said the 660-MW fourth unit of the Sasan ultra mega power project (UMPP) has started commercial operation.

With this, 2,640 MW of 3,960 MW of the Sasan UMPP became operational while the total generation capacity of Reliance Power Limited increased to 4,525 MW.

“The balance two units are in advanced stages of construction and will be commissioned over the next few months,” a company statement said.
