RPower starts generation from Sasan UMPP 5th unit

August 26: Reliance Power Limited has started power generation from the 5th unit (660 MW) of the Sasan ultra mega power project (UPMM), the company said in a filing to the BSE on August 26.

With this, the operational capacity of the project stood at 3,300 MW while the total power generation of the company is at 5,185 MW.

“The last unit is in advanced stages of construction and will be commissioned over the next few months,” the statement said.
