Railways carry 84.31 mt of freight in Nov, up 2.5% m-o-m

December 11:  Indian Railways (IR) carried 84.31 million tons (mt) of revenue-earning freight traffic during November 2013, up 2.5% compared to 82.25 mt carried during the previous month, a government release said.
During the month, there was an increase of 2.56 mt or 3.13% over the actual freight traffic of 81.75 mt carried by IR during the same period last year.

Total revenue earning freight carried by Indian Railways during April-November, 2013 stood at 677.56 mt, up 4.72% against 647.01 mt carried during the corresponding period of the previous year.
