Rao may quit CIL chief’s post, join new Telangana govt

May 20: S Narsing Rao, Chairman, Coal India Limited (CIL), has reportedly expressed his willingness to quit his present post to serve the government in the new state of Telangana.
Rao, according to media reports, said he expected to be relieved from his present post before the expiry of the usual notice period (three months) as the new state of Telangana comes into existence on June 2.
Rao was also quoted as saying that he looked forward to working in Telangana as a “son of the soil”.
