Reliance Power lights up boiler for 3rd unit of Sasan UMPP

January 13: Reliance Power achieved boiler light-up for the third unit (660 MW) of its Sasan ultra mega power project (UMPP), the company said in a filing to BSE.

With this, the company's capacity reached nearly 2,000 MW, which includes two 660 MW units in full operation while the balanced part of the 3,960 MW is likely to be commissioned in the next few months, the company statement said.

Meanwhile, the company started coal production from Moher and Moher-Amlohri coal blocks at 20 million tons per annum, added the statement.
