February 26: Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL), India’s largest petroleum coke-maker, may go for a planned maintenance shutdown in March that is likely to reduce availability of petroleum coke in the domestic market, industry sources said.
“The production of pet coke by Reliance has been a bit low in recent days and the company has to take a maintenance shutdown in March,” the source said.
However, RIL officials could not be contacted for confirmation.
RIL currently has an annual production capacity of 6 million tons.
