Restricted availability pushed up spot steam coal prices in international coal markets on August 3, market sources said.
Continued high demand from China coupled with rise in Indian demand for their post- monsoon requirement led to increase in the number of bids, they added.
Following are indicative prices of coal in various markets and indicative freight rates (Panamax vessels) on August 3:
