Rise in coal production at SCCL

The  has produced 25.20 million tonnes of coal up to September 17 in the current fiscal as against the 18.88 MT during the same period of 2014-15.

“This is the best ever production in the history of SCCL,” a release from the company said.

On the supply front, SCCL had supplied 26.35 MT coal to consumers up to September 17 this fiscal as against 22.85 MT during the corresponding period last fiscal.

All power plants linked with the State enterprise are maintaining an average of 30 days coal stock.

Following a review meeting, chaired by N. Srinivas, Executive Director (Coal Movement), the company informed power producer that it is geared to produce 60 MT coal during 2015-16 and would supply as per the fuel supply agreement and extra agreements entered into.
