SA coal exports to Atlantic nations via RBCT up 3.77% in Dec m-o-m

January 20: Imports of coal from South Africa's Richards Bay Coal Terminal (RBCT) by Atlantic countries rose 3.77% during 2013 as compared to the quantity imported during the previous year, according to provisional data available with ICMW.

RBCT exported 20,428,501 tons of coal to the Atlantic countries during the entire 2013, against 19,685,470 tons exported during the corresponding period last year.

In fact, exports of coal from RBCT to Atlantic countries rose 18.09% and stood at 2,929,558 tons in December 2013 as compared to 2,480,706 tons imported during the previous month.

In December 2012, the export figure stood at 2,591,157 tons.
