SCCL announces royalty and energy cess for WG coal

After tweaking its overall coal prices on a couple of occasions in December, Singareni Collieries Company Ltd (SCCL) has announced new royalty and energy cess for washery grade (WG) coal and also revised the prices of Ramagundam (RG) OC-II Extension project, according to information available with ICMW.

As per the latest notification dated January 9, the company will charge royalty and clean energy cess for washery grade coal with effect from September 21, 2015.

For the power sector, the royalty rates for WG-G9 coal would be Rs 238.56 per ton, while for the non-power sector, the same would be Rs 316.69 per ton. For WG-G11 and WG-G13 coal, royalty rates applicable to both power and non-power sectors would be Rs 95.65 per ton and Rs 81.67, respectively.

Clean energy cess for WG-G9 and WG-G11 coal would be Rs 284 and Rs 488 per ton for both power and non-power sectors, respectively.

SCCL has also revised coal prices for RG OC-II Extension project to Rs 1,303.55 per ton with effect from April 1, 2015. Besides, the company announced the price of lifting and additional transport charges at CCC siding at the rate of Rs 15.36 per ton with effect from September 21, 2015.
