SCCL effects marginal hike in coal prices

March 13: Singareni Collieries Company Limited has announced a marginal increase in coal prices due to a fuel surcharge adjustment across grades and for all types of customers, a company spokesperson told ICMW on March 13.

The fuel surcharge has been increased by Rs 9/ton from Rs 183/ton to Rs 192/ton with effect from March 3, 2014, the official said.

This increase will be applicable across all grades of coal and will be imposed on all types of customers, including the power sector, he added.
