SCCL floats tender for setting up 3 mtpa washery

Singareni Collieries Company Ltd (SCCL) has floated a tender for setting up of a coal washery for the purpose of washing 3.0 million tons per annum (mtpa) of raw coal for a period of 10 years.

The washery would be built on the build-own-operate (BOO) concept and come up at RG II area in the Karimnagar district in Telangana.

The approximate value of the contract will be around Rs 500 crore.

The last date for submission of bids is April 26, 2016.

Earlier, in June 2015, SCCL had planned to set up a new 1.5-mtpa coal washery at Sathupalli in Kothagudem area, and also called a vendor meet to discuss the capital requirement and other details.
