SCCL has no plan to revise prices in Q1
07 Apr 2014
April 7: Even as talks about Coal India Ltd’s (CIL’s) possible price hike is doing the rounds, Singareni Collieries Company Ltd (SCCL), on April 7, said it is not considering any hike in basic prices except for minor adjustments in the fuel surcharge.
“As of now, there is no plan to revise the basic prices. There will be no change at least in this quarter,” a company official told ICMW.
“Whatever hike is being effected from time to time is due to increase in fuel prices, but these changes are only marginal,” he added.
SCCL had last increased its fuel surcharge on March 3, 2014, from Rs 183/ton to Rs 192/ton. This increase was applicable to all grades of coal and all types of customers, including the power sector.
