SCCL misses despatch target in December

January 10: Singareni Colliers Company Limited (SCCL) has reported total coal despatches of 4.568 million tons (mt) in December 2014, which is below the targeted quantity of 5.183 mt, according to provisional data available with ICMW.

During the nine months ended December 2014, the coal miner despatched a total of 34.259 mt of coal, against the targeted 40.727 mt.

The company has also missed the production targets for the month under review. Output per manpower shift (OMS) was at 456,000 tons in December 2013, slightly below the target of 483,000 tons. For the nine-month period ended December 2014, OMS was a lowly 351,000 mt, against 421,000 tons targeted for the period.
