May 6: Good demand was witnessed for coal offered by Singareni Collieries Company Ltd (SCCL) for allotment through the e-auction platform of coaljunction during April 2014 as out of 144,500 tons offered, 116,258 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 1,293 per ton.
However, in March 2014 out of 131,000 tons offered, 103,893 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 2,209 per ton.
Meanwhile, in February 2013, out of 287,000 tons offered, 271,338 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 2,215 per ton.
