April 2: Good demand was witnessed for coal offered by Singareni Collieries Company Ltd (SCCL) for allotment through the e-auction platform of coaljunction during March 2014 as out of 131,000 tons offered, 103,893 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 2,209 per ton.
However, in February 2013, out of 287,000 tons offered, 271,338 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 2,215 per ton.
Meanwhile, in January, 2013 out of 108,000 tons of coal offered, 86,335 tons got allotted at a weighted average price of Rs 1,702 per ton.
